We presented our Ancient Microbiology research at the conference titled “Anthropology and Ancient DNA,” organized by the Anthropology Department of Istanbul University’s Faculty of Letters.
KUISCID Vice Director, Prof. Füsun Can, gave a presentation on the establishment and ongoing research at our Ancient Microbiology Research Laboratory. Assoc. Prof. Mert Kuşkucu, Head of KUISCID Virology Department, gave a presentation on the laboratory analysis processes for ancient DNA. Dr. Anı Akpınar, one of our post-doctoral researchers, shared her findings on the analysis of ancient DNA samples using bioinformatics.
