On December 27, 2024, the Ministry of Health, General Directorate of Public Health, Department of Infectious Diseases and Early Warning held a board meeting with the Ministry of Health hosting it. Assoc. Prof Mert Kuşkucu, head of the KUISCID Virology unit, also attended to the meeting in which the important issues such as current data on respiratory viruses, guidelines on case management and diagnosis-treatment algorithms, including bird flu, and the establishment of the National Pandemic Preparedness Plan were discussed.
