European Union Project: CCHF Risk Communication

The project of “Co-developing preparedness and risk communication: Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever knowledge, politics, experience in European borderlands” (TICKRISK) conducted by the Pasteur Institute aims to better understand the measures and policies regarding Crimean-Congo Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) in France, Spain, Romania and Turkey. KUISCID director Prof. Önder Ergönül provides consultancy to the project. Assoc. Prof. Başak Can from Koç University Sociology Department and expert historian Léa Delmaire from the Pasteur Institute met Prof. Ergönül to discuss current findings of the project. Bullet points of the project include strengthening the preparedness level and developing risk communication to increase public participation in protective measures.
