Approval of 3 TUBITAK 1001 Projects

The project “Surveying for hypermutator strains in Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates from invasive infections and their associations to antibiotic resistance and investigation of the potential use of DNA repair mechanisms as treatment options” under supervision of KUISCID researcher Dr. Anı Akpınar, was accepted as TUBITAK 1001 project. The project team will include Dr. Cansel Vatansever as a researcher in this project.

Another project titled as “Antibacterial Activity of Near-Infrared Photosensitive Type-II CuInS/ZnO Quantum Dots”, in collaboration with Koç University Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, was accepted as TUBITAK 1001 Project. Project team will include Prof. Füsun Can and Dr. Nazlı Ataç as researchers, under the supervision of Prof. Sedat Nizamoğlu.

The third project accepted as TUBITAK 1001 project is “Characterization of heteroresistant, tolerant and persistent subgroups in antifungal-resistant Candida isolates and development of a screening test for the demonstration of heteroresistanceCharacterization of heteroresistant, tolerant and persistent subgroups in antifungal-resistant Candida isolates and development of a screening test for the demonstration of heteroresistance”.
