KUISCID researchers, in collaboration with the Faculty of Science published their article “Rational Control of Combined Photothermal and Photodynamic Therapy for Effective Eradication of Biofilms” offering a novel method against multi-drug resistant bacterial species. With this method, it is possible to eradicate the bacteria by irradiation of nanoparticles with a laser resulting in thermal increase (photothermal therapy) and chemical effect (photodynamic therapy). The article was published in Nanoscale, with a high impact factor in its field and was selected as the cover article. Congratulations to all our researchers.
