A study we conducted in collaboration with various centers examining the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on surgical site infections has been published in the journal Antimicrobial Resistance & Infection Control (ARIC). The article examines the challenges faced by surgical site infections, being one of the most important problems in healthcare settings, with its limitations regarding patient management. Findings of the study also offer recommendations for understanding these dynamics and improving infection prevention as well as developing treatment strategies.
