Predictive Role of Serum Cytokines in COVID-19

Publication / January 5, 2025

Cytokines are proteins secreted by immune system cells and play a critical role in regulating the immune response. When COVID-19 becomes more severe, an excessive immune response known as a cytokine storm may occur. This can increase the severity of the disease and unfortunately boost up the mortality rates. KUISCID  researchers published their article “Predictive Role and Clinical Value of Serum Cytokines in COVID-19” in the journal “Infectious Diseases and Clinical Microbiology (IDCM)”, in which they investigated the role and clinical value of serum cytokines in COVID-19. Congratulations to our researchers.
