Professor Larry Madoff, a member of KUISCID Advisory Board and Director of the Center for Emerging Infections (CEID) at Boston University, visited KUISCID and met with our research team. During the visit, Professor Madoff received information about ongoing projects at KUISCID and shared detailed information about epidemiological and public health research at Boston University. Future collaborations between KUISCID and Boston University were also discussed.
By the way, Prof. Madoff was awarded with first prize in the Public Health category of the British Medical Association (BMA) Medical Book Awards in 2015 for the book “Emerging Infectious Diseases: Clinical Case Studies,” which he co-edited the book with KUISCID director, Prof. Önder Ergönül, and Vice director, Prof. Füsun Can.
