KUISCID researchers Dr. Nazlı Ataç took the stage at Science Slam Türkiye. In this live event, scientists share their research through 10-minute, entertaining, and comprehensible presentations. The winner of the night is determined by the audience’s votes.
In the event, where KUISCID Director Prof. Önder Ergönül is also among the project advisors, Dr. Ataç explained the “chemical Trojan horse” drug design developed against antibiotic-resistant E. coli bacteria.
Bringing chemistry, microbiology, physics, and engineering together, this interdisciplinary study brings a new perspective to awareness on antibiotic resistance. At the same time, it offers a significant contribution to alternative treatment methods.
